Peeking at the Neighbors with music, theater, spoken word, improvisation, and clown shows in Gouda

Gluren bij de Buren Gouda is looking for artists and living rooms for its new edition

On Sunday, February 1, 100 living rooms will temporarily be transformed into neighborhood theaters during the amateur arts festival Gluren bij de Buren (Peeking at the Neighbors) in Gouda. Local performing artists will showcase their talent in cozy living rooms throughout the municipality. The program is now available at www.glurenbijdeburen.nl/programma/gouda.

In Gouda, you can visit 100 neighbors for a special performance and a cup of coffee or tea. "This year's program is very diverse, ranging from quiet singer-songwriters to raucous skate punk. You can also expect raw hip hop, classical music, Irish folk bands, and even pirate folk music with bagpipes and mandolins. In addition to a large music program, there is also theater, spoken word, improvisation, clown shows for all ages, and unexpected encounters: a poet who types a poem for you on the spot, a DJ who explores sound and silence, and a family band that plays covers," says program maker Marcel Kamphuis.

A wide variety of performing artists will take to the carpet stage. Plan your route now on the website. All performances last 30 minutes and take place between 12:00 and 17:00. This year's locations range from small to large living rooms, but you can also expect to see a houseboat and other special monuments in Gouda.
