Are you ready for an inspiring experience? During the summer months, De Firma Kunstcentrum Gouda will open its doors for two special exhibitions focusing on contemporary art from Gouda and our sister city Solingen.
People – Space – Change | July 2–27,
This exhibition is the follow-up to an earlier exchange between artist collectives from Solingen and Gouda. Last year, the exhibition "Liebe Schwester" featuring the work of five Gouda artists from De Firma was on display in Solingen in honor of the city's 650th anniversary. Now we welcome the Solinger Vier collective to Gouda.
This group of artists consists of Judith Funke, Sabine Smith, Heinz-Peter Knoop, and Susanne Müller-Kölmel.
Be inspired and surprised by contemporary art from Solingen in the exhibition "People – Space – Change." The exhibition space at De Firma presents works that explore the tension between people and nature, focusing on outward appearance and inner experience, as well as the changes that take place.
A wide variety of artworks from different disciplines are on display, including painting, sculpture, installation, and video. The exhibition will be opened on Friday, July 4, at 7:30 p.m. by Thierry van Vught, alderman for culture in Gouda.
State of the Art | July 30 – August 31
Artists from De Firma present recent work in a unique salon setting.
For one month, numerous artists from De Firma will be exhibiting their most recent works in 'State of the Art', where art lovers can view a wide range of disciplines. Unlike thematic exhibitions, this group exhibition has no fixed guidelines. Each artist shows what he or she specializes in. This results in a dynamic and varied collection of artworks that reflects the diversity and craftsmanship within De Firma.
The Salon layout offers visitors a rich and inspiring experience, bringing the works together in a carefully composed setting while allowing each piece to stand out individually. Don't miss this unique opportunity to discover the latest creations by local artists!
