Biologische Kaasboerderij de Ruyge Weyde is a fifth-generation family business in Oudewater, where we have been making authentic Gouda farm cheese since 1847. Today, there are still around 17,000 dairy farms in the Netherlands, of which only about 100 still make real farmhouse cheese from raw milk. Of these, no more than 10 dairy farms are organic, including ours! As of December 2018, we are the only cheese farm in the Netherlands that combines farm cheese, organic farming, a milking robot, and 100% pasture grazing.
