You are very welcome to visit the coziest cheese shop in the center of Gouda: the Gouds Kaashuis. The shop on Hoogstraat/Markt stocks more than 50 types of authentic, high-quality farmhouse cheeses. Each and every one of these cheeses comes from the immediate vicinity of Gouda, from the Green Heart. Owners Sandra and Maurice are happy to tell you the story behind the cheese, and of course you can taste the cheeses.

2. For the authentic, traditional taste of Gouda, try the homemade farmhouse cheese. Every Friday, Maurice makes his own cheese in Waarder, a farming village near Gouda.
