Escape Xperience Gouda: The Legend of Jacoba
Escape Xperience lets you experience the city in a new, fun, and interactive way. It's like an escape room, but outside in the city! It's a self-guided tour, so you can start whenever you're ready. With the app, you walk through the city while solving puzzles and riddles. Each Xperience has an exciting storyline, in which you help the main character escape or complete an urgent mission.
This City Xperience takes you back to the year 1800 in Gouda. Ans van Kempen is a widow with three children who is about to be evicted from her home. She has one last chance to get some money. One of her husband's ancestors worked for Countess Jacoba in the now demolished castle on the outskirts of Gouda. She gave him gold bars, which he hid in a secret tunnel under her castle. For generations, a piece of paper with instructions on how to find the entrance to the tunnel has been passed down, but no one has ever succeeded. Will you be able to find it within two hours?
This Xperience takes you to 20 locations: the city's attractions and lesser-known spots. It costs €25 per team (1 to 4 people).
