In the charming, historic streets of Gouda, more and more initiatives are popping up to make the city a little more sustainable and greener. Every part of this route exudes history and sustainability. You will pass numerous 'green' and fair entrepreneurs and shops, so be sure to stop in. For a delicious piece of fair trade chocolate, a belt made from an old bicycle tire, or a vegan meal. Choose your own pace and experience sustainable Gouda the way you want!

Please note: This route is not a circular walk. From your last stop, you will need to walk back to your starting point (either directly or indirectly). Please note that the shops have different opening hours (and often do not open until 10:00 a.m.). The shops at GOUDasfalt are open every Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (and by appointment).
